We announced in January 2024 that we have replaced the Special Import Scheme platform with a new Import Service for veterinary surgeons. We have done this to make the service easier to use, more secure and reliable and to meet accessibility legislation.
On 15 July 2024, we will be decommissioning the old online special import scheme service, and replacing if fully with our new digital service. If you are a UK practising veterinary surgeon and have yet to sign up to the new special imports digital service we strongly encourage you to register before 15 July. From 15 July, SIC applications can only be made using the new digital service.
